Mount Abu - The single hill station in Rajasthan, Mount Abu huddles among the rocks on a 1,220-m granite table mountain at the far southwestern end of the Aravalli hills. The hill station stretches along a 23 km long and 6 km wide plateau. Mount Abu is a home of number of Jain temples.

Mussoorie – Mussoorie is placed in the Garhwal hills. Due to its enormous natural beauty, Popularly known as Queen of the Hills. Mussoorie is one of the most-lovely tourist destinations of India. Located in the Himalayan foothills of Uttar Pradesh, it has a amount of waterfalls, picnic-spots, temples and tourist bungalows.

Nainital – A small town in the hills of Kumaon, Nainital is a lovely hill station bounded by mountains on three sides. This area had many lakes so it was called the City of 60 lakes or ‘Chakta’. Belief has it that the hill station derived its name from Goddess Naina Devi. The important and famous places to visit are Naini Lake, the State Astronomical Observatory, the Nainital Horticulture Centre and various vantage points for mountaineering.

Srinagar – That’s called “Paradise on Earth”. The capital of Jammu and Kashmir and the largest city in the state, Srinagar (1,730m) is famous for its canals, houseboats and gorgeous Mughal gardens, indescribable beauty of nature.

Pahalgam – At an elevation of 2,130m and about 95-km from Srinagar, Pahalgam is probably the most popular hill resort in the Kashmir valley.

Patnitop – Comparatively unknown, compared to the other tourist spots in the state Patnitop is no less beautiful or serene.

I would love to go to India, but would have no idea of where to go or where to start! I would have to book a tour of some kind!
